Philippians 2:5-6states, Let this mind
be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the
form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God.
This is how God wants you to think about yourself. God wants you to see yourself on
his level and in his form. If you will take the time and apply the effort to allow your mind to think
like this, you will never be the same again. You will see everything from a different view.
Lets look at a couple of scriptures that will help you see yourself as God sees you.
Genesis 1:26, And God said, Let us
make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them
have dominion...
Genesis 2:7, And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the
ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
God has always seen man on his level as his equal. How can God make something in His image and likeness and it not
be equal to what it was made from. You are to have this mindset in you. You must, in order to rule over
the darkness of this world and receive the riches of Christ in your life. If you do not renew you mind to this
you will never see yourself as worthy to have His riches.
Let's look at another passage of scripture to help you see yourself as God sees you.
Ephesians 1:17-2:1,
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of
glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what
is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19
And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us–ward who believe,
according to the working of his mighty power,
20
Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his
own right hand in the heavenly places,
21
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every
name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22
And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things
to the church,
23
Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
1
And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
Now look at Ephesians 2:6-7, And hath raised us up together, and made us
sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. That in the ages to come he might shew the
exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God thought it not robbery
to be equal with God.
You are not robbing God of honor by saying that you are His equal because you are in Christ Jesus,
seated with him in heavenly places in his throne as He sits with His Father in His throne. This is God's will
for you. This is the good pleasure of His will, that you see yourself as He sees you. God raised you up to his
level, you had nothing to do with it. He exhalted you there. So see yourself seated far above
all the principality and power and might and dominion of this world and the world which is to come.
Ephesians 2:10, For we are his workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Quit calling God your senior partner. Jesus said that he would
send the comforter which is the Holy Spirit. The word comforter means called along side to help.
You are a joint heir with Christ, not a sub heir. God is not senior partner in
your life. You are! God can do nothing in your life unless you give him permission to do so. He is
the source of all wisdom and all power, but he can not work if you do not let it. God said in Isaiah 43:13,
I will work and who will let it.
He has done all that he can do for you. If there was anything else that he could do he
would do even that, but there is nothing. He has set the standard for you to follow, but if you choose not
to do so, there is nothing else he can do for you and through you.
But when you keep his commandments you and He can do all things together. You can raise
the dead, heal the sick, cast out devils, walk in abundant riches, walk in favor with all men, have victory over all you enemies
and be called by all nations the one who the Lord has blessed. He will make your name great among the gentiles, the word
says.
Why Jesus Came
The reason Jesus came was to restore man and his position in God back to the original state
that Adam had when He was created found in Genesis. This is why God had to become a man, the Man Christ Jesus,
the second Adam. Before the fall, Adam was crowned with glory. He was the exact image and likeness of his Creator.
Adam was to dominate all things by the words of his mouth just like his Father God. He was the express image of
his Father's glory. Adam had been given all things to rule over up to but not including God Himself and His throne.
The reason I know this to be true is because the blood of Jesus not only purged the
entire earth but also purged the heavenly instruments of worship as stated in Hebrews 9:20-24.
Deuteronomy 32:1-3, lets us see how Adam was to speak before the fall, how Jesus spoke while He was on the
earth and how we as God's sons and daughters are to speak today to take dominion of what is ours.
1 Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the
words of my mouth. 2 My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as
the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass 3 Because
I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.
Adam was to take care of the garden with his words. Everything in the garden was created by God's words
and was to be cared for by Adam's words. Jesus spoke to storms and fig trees and they obeyed Him.
Get a revelation that every thing was created by God's words and every thing is subject to man's
words because man has been created in the image and likeness of God. Why would not all things obey us? The only things
that man does not have authority over is God and another man. Everything else will obey us, even the angels when we
speak the work of God out of our mouths. They will harken to the voice of His word. (Psalms 103:20)
Now let's look at Hebrews Chapter 1 and 2 concerning man's position with God the Father.
1:1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past
unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son,
whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image
of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat
down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
4 ¶ Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance
obtained a more excellent name than they.
5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this
day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? (This verse
is referring back to Adam when God and Adam had a Father and son relationship and fellowship, before the fall. This Father
and Son relationship has now been restored in Christ Jesus for us all to enjoy.)
13 But to which of the angels said
he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
Here you need to remember what Ephesians 2: 6-7 states, And hath raised
us up together , and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding
riches of his grace in his kindness towards us through Christ Jesus.
Hebrews 2:3 calls this a GREAT SALVATION. Verse 5 says that the worlds to come have been
put back under man's subjection. Verse 6 states What is man that God is mindful of Him and the son of man that God would
visit him. Verse 9 we see the man Christ Jesus crowned with glory and honor, once again restoring man to his place in
God as it was before the fall.
In Hebrews chapter 3 we warned not to be in unbelief concerning our great salvation and are given the example
of God's people in the wilderness hardening their hearts to His word.
In Hebrews chapter four we are told to come boldly to the THRONE OF GRACE. THIS IS WERE GOD HAS ALWAYS
WANTED HIS CHIDREN, IN HIS THRONE.
Jesus said in Revelation 3:20-21, Behold, I stand at the door, and
knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and
am set down with my Father in his throne He that hath an ear, let him hear what
the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Now I want to discuss a great mystery, which were the words of the Apostle Paul concerning Christ and the
church. "The two shall be one flesh."
To understand this we must understand how God created man in the beginning. Genesis 1:26,
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:
and let them have dominion...
27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God
created he him; male and female created he them.
21 ¶ And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and
he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a
woman, and brought her unto the man.
23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh:
she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
When we study these verses very carefully we see that God made man male and female first in one body. Then he divided
them male and female in to different bodies yet they were still one as man and wife.
Man was created in His image and likeness. Where do you think the love of a mother comes from or the tough
love of a father or the fighting spirit of a man or the tender mercies of a mother. They come from God. Jesus
made mention while He was in the earth that He desired greatly to gather His children like a mother hen does her
chicks but they would not come. He was showing the tender love of a mother. He showed us the fighting spirit of
a Father when we defeated Satan in hell and gave us the victory.
In the beginning when God when created the heavens and the earth the word says that the Spirit moved upon
the face of the waters. The word moved means to flutter, to hover, to grow soft. This is the tender
part of God's nature. And He said, LIGHT BE. This is Almighty God Talking. God said let us make
man in our image and in our likeness, male and female created he them.
Adam said she shall be called woman because she is bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh and came out of Man.
In the beginning God created man as one, male and female and joined them together in marriage.
Therefore what God has joined together let not man put apart.
What Paul is saying concerning Christ and the church is that God took the church out of himself (created us in Christ
Jesus Ephesians 2:10) by the word of God and presented the church to Himself in Christ Jesus just as He presented
the woman to the man in the beginning.
We are one, one body yet many members. We are the body of God in the earth today. Christ and the church have
been joined together by God and are one.
Ephesians 4:4 There is one
body,
and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling. There is now, neither male or female, Jew
or Greek, bond or free, but we are all one in Christ Jesus. God the Father is above all, through all and in us all.
It is even better now than it was in the beginning with Adam. God has become Man and Man has become God in Christ Jesus
and we are in Him forever.
Christ cannot have dominion in the earth without the church and the church cannot have dominion in heaven without
Christ. Neither can a man have dominion in the earth without his wife nor can the wife have dominion without her
husband. Satan knows this and will try to divide a husband and wife in any way that he can.
How can two walk together except the be in agreement. If Satan can cause man and his wife to be divided physically
or in belief he as stopped their dominion in the earth. If Satan can get the church to disagree with the word of God
he has stopped our dominion in the earth.
To express what God has done in words is a difficult. You will have to allow the Holy
Spirit reveal this to you. He will show you all things concerning His Great Salvation.
