God Wants You Rich
Proverbs 10:22 states, "The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no
sorrow with it.
God's will for man is that he be rich, not just in finances, but in every
area of life. In the beginning, God intended that the earth be just as it is in heaven. Most people have
heard of the Lords prayer and have quoted it in times of trouble. Well, the prayer says, "Thy will be done
in earth as it is in heaven". Note II Corinthians 8:9, "For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus
Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might
be rich."
No man can make himself believe that heaven is a place of poverty. Jesus left the
riches in heaven and came to earth and humbled him to death so we might be rich.
Man is wrong in his thinking which controls what he believes. Isaiah 55:9
states, "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher
than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." God does not want the earth to be a place of poverty and
once man makes it through the testing and trials, if he lives good enough, then
he can go to heaven and then and only then enjoy riches.
I Timothy 6:17 says, "Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not
highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy..."
God wants man rich more than man wants himself rich. Riches are God's idea. He simply does not want man to
trust in riches but in him.
The reason most of the earth remains in poverty to this day is because man's thoughts and
beliefs have been deceived to God's truth. Jesus said in John 10:10, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to
kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life and that they have it more abundantly."
Who is the thief? Who ever steals knowledge of the truth from you is a thief and a deceiver.
It may be a family member or a stranger on the street or it may be from within your own thinking. But who ever or what
ever is causing you to believe a lie is a thief. Romans 3:4 states, "Yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when
thou art judged." Those that speak against the truth of God's word are liars and will be judged for their sayings
that steal His truth.
II John 1:7, "For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that
Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist." They lie against the truth
of God's word.
The scripture says to speak the truth in love. When we do this we will never be a thief
by causing another to believe a lie. I am telling you God's truth right now!
When individuals or nations start believing the word of God, which is truth, and apply His
knowledge and principles, riches come. They do not come over night but as a seed grows; first the blade, then
the ear and then the full corn in the ear. Then they hear the Lord say, Grab you sickle, it's harvest time.
Eventually God's riches will overtake an individual or a nation that follows his truth. (Mark 4:26-30)
Now let's look at the blessing that God spoke over man in Genesis 1:27-28, "So God created
man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and
God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish (fill) the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over
the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
This blessing that makes man rich can be traced though out the scripture as God reveals
His truth to man through covenants. We see it after the flood in Genesis 9:1, "And God
blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
We see it in Genesis 17 :2-5 when God was talking to Abraham about making a covenant with
him concerning Christ entering into the world. "And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee
exceedingly. And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee,
and thou shalt be a father of many nations. Neither shall thy name anymore be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham,
for a father of many nations have I made thee."
We see the blessing in the life of Joseph, whom God set second in charge
of all of Egypt. (Genesis 39:2-4) We see it when God brought His people out of bondage in Egypt with much silver
and gold and not one was sick among them. (Psalm 105:37-44) 37 He brought them forth
also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes. 42
For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant. Exodus 2:24,"
And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his
covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob."
We see it in the life of David and Solomon. I Kings 1:37,
"As the LORD hath been with my lord the king, even so be he with Solomon, and make
his throne greater than the throne of my lord king David."
We see the blessing that makes man rich in the new testament scripture, in Ephesians 3:20,
"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh
in us. Unto him be glory in the Church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. We
see it in Philippians 4:19, But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
The most important place that this blessing needs to be seen is in your life. It
can be! It MUST be in order to have God's will in your life. God hates poverty. He hates poverty so much that
he sacrificed His own Son that you might be rich. Psalm 105:8, "He hath remembered
his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded
to a thousand generations." This includes you. You have as much right to the Blessing of God
on your life as any one mentioned in the scripture.
The first step is to receive His riches. All of His riches are in His Son Jesus Christ.
When You receive His Son you receive every thing that God has. If you have never done this, all you have to do is believe
in your heart that Jesus is the Christ and is come in the flesh for a offering of sin (your sin) and was raised from
the dead to be your everlasting provider. You receive by confessing with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord.
Every thing has already been done. He is just waiting for your words, Come in to my heart Lord Jesus. (Romans
Chapter 10)
Now find a church that is full of God's love and is preaching the truth and get involved and
don't quit.
